About the Jungleway Downloads

The files on this site are for owners of Mathville Jungleway v. 1.0. They are intended to fix problems pending release of the next version of the program. We recommend that you use these downloads ONLY if you are having problems running the program.

You should download if:

giraffe.dxr

The face of the spinner in the Giraffe Graph activity is empty (black) when sound is turned completely off (muted).

you must turn the sound off (this is not recommended as you will miss important messages).

Jway.dxr

Activity icons on leaves on main screen are labeled with activity names

you strongly prefer the leaves to be labeled with the names of the activities

skip.dxr

Floating lily pads and crocodiles in the River Skip activity have been slowed down

River Skip is too fast to play

Jungle8.exe

EXE has been compiled with a more recent Macromedia product more compatible with a Windows 2000 network environment

you are running a Windows 2000 network and are getting error messages about .DLL files

JunglewayMAC

Jungleway (MAC) has been compiled with a more recent Macromedia product so that MAC monitor settings are unaffected by the program.

How to use a downloaded Mathville Jungleway file:

1) To use one of these downloadable files, you must copy Mathville Jungleway to your hard drive. To do that,

Now you can run the program on your hard drive by double-clicking "Jungleway" or "Jungle.exe" or "Jungle".

2) Next download the desired file by right-clicking it and choosing "Copy to folder" or holding down the mouse over the file name and choosing Save Link to Disk or SAVE AS...or some variation of that depending upon your browser. Save it in the DATA or WINDATA folder that you put on your hard drive in Step 1. Save .exe files in the same location where you put the Jungle.exe file in Step 1.

After that, when you run the program on your hard drive you will be using the new downloaded file and you should notice the change or fix described.
