About the Kidway Downloads

The files on this site are for owners of Mathville Kidway v. 1.0. They are intended to fix problems pending release of the next version of the program. We recommend that you use these downloads ONLY if you are having problems running the program.

Kidway.dxr

Activity icons on ferris wheel main screen are labeled with activity names

you strongly prefer the icons to be labeled with the names of the activities

ducks.dxr

Ducks have been slowed down in Duck Pond activity

you are frustrated by the speed of the ducks in the Duck Pond activity

pick.dxr

Crane with hook has been slowed down in Pick a Winner activity

you can't position the crane hook where you want it because the crane moves too quickly

Kidway8.exe

EXE has been compiled with a more recent Macromedia product more compatible with a Windows 2000 network environment

you are running a Windows 2000 network and are getting error messages about .DLL files

KidwayMAC

Kidway (MAC) has been compiled with a more recent Macromedia product so that MAC monitor settings are unaffected by the program.

your MAC monitor setting is changed after running Kidway

How to use a downloaded Mathville Kidway file:

1) To use one of these downloadable files, you must copy Mathville Kidway to your hard drive. To do that,

insert the original Mathville Kidway CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive
copy or drag "Mathville Kidway" or "Kidway" or "Kidway.exe" AND the folder "DATA" or "WINDATA" to your hard drive (you may have to scroll down in the Mathville Kidway CD-ROM window to see the folder).

Now you can run the program on your hard drive by double-clicking "Mathville Kidway" or "Kidway" or "Kidway.exe"

2) Next download the desired file by right-clicking it and choosing "Copy to folder" or holding down the mouse over the file name and choosing Save Link to Disk or SAVE AS...or some variation of that depending upon your browser. Save .dxr files in the DATA or WINDATA folder that you put on your hard drive in Step 1. Save .exe files in the same location where you put the Kidway.exe file in Step 1.

After that, when you run the program on your hard drive you will be using the new downloaded file and you should notice the change or fix described.
