About the Speedway Downloads

The files on this site are for owners of Mathville Speedway v. 1.0. They are intended to fix problems pending release of the next version of the program. We recommend that you use these downloads ONLY if you are having problems running the program.

Primary change/fix description

You should download if:

graph.dxr

In Graph Race activity, eliminate case where number of red and green cars are equal

you use Graph Race frequently and emphasize its probability content

h2oway.dxr

Cars on main screen are slower and labeled more clearly with activity names

you find the main screen too fast to use

pits.dxr

Temperature gauge and gas pump changes are slower in Pit Stop activity

you can't adjust the temperature or fill the gas tank in Pit Stop because the settings change too fast

SPE_WAT_STA8.exe

EXE has been compiled with a more recent Macromedia product more compatible with a Windows 2000 network environment

you are running a Windows 2000 network and are getting error messages about .DLL files

SpeedwayMAC

Speedway (MAC) has been compiled with a more recent Macromedia product so that MAC monitor settings are unaffected by the program.

How to use a downloaded Mathville Speedway file:

1) To use one of these downloadable files, you must copy Mathville Speedway to your hard drive. To do that,

Now you can run the program on your hard drive by double-clicking "Speedway" or "Speedway - Power Mac".

2) Next download the desired file by right-clicking it and choosing "Copy to folder" or holding down the mouse over the file name and choosing Save Link to Disk or SAVE AS...or some variation of that depending upon your browser. Save it in the DATA folder that you put on your hard drive in Step 1. Save .exe files in the same location where you put the Speedway.exe file in Step 1.

After that, when you run the program on your hard drive you will be using the new downloaded file and you should notice the change or fix described.
